Hi all, i've just joined because i think i need some help with removing my SII engine which i want to re-condition because of low oil pressure. The problem is that after 53 years of being together, my engine and gearbox do not want to part. the two metals seem to have corroded/cold welded together in a serious way! Any one have experience or ideas on this one ?

:welcome2:had that once but was on a Frontera Just a case of gently persuasion with a Hammer and prybar in the right places. we sort of went evenly around the engine where we could get to, eventually came apat

put jack under gear box lift till wieght taken off engine mounts spray round bell housing with penetrating oil leave to soak in for an hour or so and repeat
