Hi i was wanting to remove my side bars as they have suffered terminal corrosion, but when i turn the bolt holding it on it just turns and turns without coming off.

Its there something I am not doing?
 
any garage with a nut rivet tool can do this, you could try with a bolt and nut but it's difficult
