Hi, does anyone else on here have a Shower Curtain/Cover on their Freelander
Just fitted a brand new one & even when its just a shower i get water dripping on my leather rear seats....now i'm guessing its not supposed to be a permanent cover but i did expect it to be a bit better
Cause its so dark in the back....when you look around you can actually see lots of rows of 'pinholes of light' where the stitching is....
My questions is.....what can i put over these holes without spoiling the look of the cover, from the inside would be best, just dont want to make a mess...:(

Cheers......

Looking for something a bit neater.....like some sort of rubberised paint? Not sure if it even exists but if i was to mask off the seams then paint something over the small pinholes it would look very neat....

Just not sure where to look for it....

Hi, thanks for all the replies.....will have a look & see what i can come up with....good old Land Rover quality eh :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Old thread I know, but you can buy seam sealing tape for tents and tarps. This will sort it.

Might have to get one of these for the summer, or a soft top set.

Try Fabsil.
Think that is what we used on the BMW & MX5 roofs. Needs doing every other season to keep it waterproof.
Great on tents too.

Mine was new.The metal bracings were corroded, there were pin holes where it was stitched and after an hours use the velcro started to peel away on the corner pieces.I had to drill tiny holes in them so I could use fishing line to stitch them back on, the original glue was rubbish .Made the whole interior dark and was noisy too.Waste of money. Been sat in the shed for the last 6 years. So glad it never rained when I had it fitted.

Just all of of us 3dr peeps getting ready for the summer, now that Christmas is out of the way. :D

Still want a soft option though!

Did buy a Soft Top...found it to be a complete pain...so sold it & bought a new Rain Cover, if i manage to sell my Freelander (or swap it) in the coming few months i will offer it to some Freelander owner on here:D
