Should this pipe have a clip?

Hi again,
still trying to find source of rattle and found this aluminium pipe which is just pushed on without a clip behind the engine.

Should the clip its sitting over be around the aluminium pipe?

That looks like a slieve over the rubber coolant pipe to protect it. The clip should only be on the rubber pipe.

Yep good answers, the hose clip should only be on the rubber hose. The ally heat sleeving is just slid over the hose, not held on by anything other than friction.

Keep us posted when you find the rattle, a I also have a tizz like rattle when the engine is under a bit of load.
