If you are looking for a top quality car look at a range rover import from Japan these are in mint condition and usually low miles ask any one who as worked on one they will tell you they are like new and you can get them at a good price

jap imports are a very good buy, i have seen 98-99 models go for as little as 800 quid at southampton,

however, 99% of jap imports are incorrect miles, all the rangies i have seen come over are only ever 4.0 very low spec models so if you want the the pure luxury a hse offers a jap spec one isnt very appealing.

jap imports are more to insure arnt they?

I bought my 1999 DSE 2 months ago and feel exactly the same, I love it to death and wouldn't be without it ..... but it hasn't played too many "tricks" on me yet

its not that japanese imports are more to insure, its simply japanese spec are more to insure as they are reguarded as a higher risk ie jap spec comes with higher power figures, the glass is a higher spec than a uk car so the insurers panic at replacement costs,

a rangie however is a uk spec car so no probs...

Were do some people get there info jap imports are not more to insure they cost the same the only problem is some companies do not insure jap imports;
on types of car if you import it your self or if i give you a contact you can get any model or high spec and guaranteed low mileage.
Many cars that come into the special jap auctions in this country are in the main the low quality cars and not the grade 4.5 or 5.0 that you can get and these are low mileage guaranteed but you could still get it BIMTA checked if you want you only need the chassis number.
Any way i am going on a bit but if you are looking for a car that has no rust and a very low mileage then this is the way to buy a p38 any model 4.0se 4.6hse or special models
