Shocky bushes

So my rear shock absorber bottom bushes are completely shagged... Causing an irritating bumping and knocking noise while driving over the smallest of bumps. I've ordered replacements and I know it's an easy job (if you can stop the stupid shock rotating, why the hell do they design them like that :mad:)

My simple question is, any reason I shouldn't drive around with knackered bushes on my shocks while I wait for the new ones to arrive?
 
a few miles wont hurt chances are holes in bracket are already worn if there going to ,air gun battery gun mens you can hold shocker by hand hile you undo not
 
In theory no but it could damage the thread on the shock by rubbing on the mount instead of being held still by the bush. I see plenty ok cars with knackered bushes and no damage but your vehicle is officially unroadworthy like it is, that said a bulb gone makes it unroadworthy in the eyes of the law...
