Just got back from a play out at Whaddon, and on the way back there was a bumping coming from the back which sounded like worn shock bushes. Now, I just replaced the bottom bushes because it was making the same annoying noise, and that fixed it. But they appear to have gone again. It's only been a couple months since I did the last ones...

Do standard LR bushes suck that much that they go after a few thousand miles and an off road day or is it possibly a more serious problem of mine?

Also, since I'm writing, I'm just wondering about my transfer box, I've been having trouble getting it to stick in Diff Lock, it banged out once today... I can't remember how it was before, but I now can't get it to stick right back into unlocked. It IS unlocked, but when I pull the lever all the way to the right it slips back into a middleish position. Is that normal?

Cheers boys,

Geoff

No.
Yes.

Genuine, OE or aftermarket bushes?
Correctly fitted?

Peronally I have never had a shock bush fail.
The original ones have always served me well and the ones that have come with replacement shocks have always lasted the life of the shock (current ones 7-years old and still ok).

Yeah oe parts and I'm pretty sure they're correctly fit. There's definitely play now in the bush when the car bounces up and down though. might just replace the shocks for some better ones and get it done with.
