shaking

bad shaking comeing from pasengers floor pan ?

as soon as power is aplied

Dunno much about Freelanders as such, but obvious places to look are wheel, are the nuts tight, are all the wheel weights still on, are the tyres matches, inflated correctly, not obviously losing tread ..Then look at propshaft and UJ's, then if nothing obvious take wheels off and hubs and check CV joints.

Could also be an issue with the clutch, cooling fan, fan/auxiliary belts, the gearbox, harmonic dampers, indeed it could be almost anything that's either broken or loose and is rotating unbalanced thus creating the shaking.

Also check tyres Mine used to shake bigtime i swop wheels around then it was fine again Till the next problem lol

First thing to check is the rear differential mountings ( 3 of them ) the first to go is the forward one, you need to support the diff and loosen the bolts of the other 2 to move it sufficiently to extract the mounting. Check tosee if the bolt is central in the bush housing, the rubber on mine ripped apart allowing the diff to shake under acceleration.
