They do tend to shake and squeak when you are on top of the missus.Shaking at the wheel, and squeaking underneath, at a guess its the U.J. and will need a change, is it worth changing the U.J.? or just the whole prop (second hand)
Never a good thing to leave your shaft hanging outProp should be fine, you’ll know it’s ujs if you take them out, if not just pop them back in. My P38 is sitting there with it’s shaft hanging out now, waiting for the UJ. They seem to be bugger to get, eBay was cheapest in end, watch the Chinese knock offs though
Tvc100010 - I payed £13.80 free delivery for GKN single unit. Come in pairs too, LR is about £50 each
There was a lot of gunk on the endNever a good thing to leave your shaft hanging out
A show of a well used and well serviced shaftThere was a lot of gunk on the end
When I was looking at UJ's I see some "Heavy Duty" ones, is there such a real thing? off roading maybe, I have my doubts though
I payed something like £13.80 but with slower yet free postage. Think it was labelled for another LR maybe but was tvc100010 replaces rtc3458/rtc4587

Q. If one keeps ones nipples well-greased does this prolong the life of the UJ far beyond that of the non-nippled variety? All the P38 ones should be the heavy duty ones. Part numbers are in my hardy-spicer thread I think ... yep: GNK Hardy-Spicers. 75mm end to end; 27 mm caps. Gallery approximately 18 mm. These should be the TVC100010 heavy duty ones with a grease nipple.
