Prompted by the 'dying RAM' thread, I couldn't resist........

There's an old adage that a bloke would no sooner admit to being bad in bed than being a bad driver.:D

Dragging this patent peice of nonesense into the 21st Century, I'll add that no one will admit to having crap AV.:)

There is some serious ****e on the market promoting themselves as the bestest(sic) ever.

Norton, Mcafee and AVG to name but three (oh and in that order of ****eness). There's a simple adage with these three - if you have them on your PC, you're infected.

...and to pre-empt the "I've got (insert ****e AV of choice) and I've never had a problem....how the **** would you know?:)

So what do you have on your PC then, Oh mighty queen of the nerds.

I fully loaded 12 bore:D

...and thank you for responding so quickly and making my point so neatly for me:)

But I didn't tell you what AV I use so how have I made your point?

I asked what you use. It's all very well sitting at your pc and ****ing over the lastest version of find and kill the ****er Antivirus or whatever.

But it doesn't actually achieve anything other than saying Hi everyone I'm a pretentious prick and your all sad ****s.

If you want a reasoned debate get off your ****ing soapbox and post some useful info.

I wouldn't touch a Norton product with yours. mainly cause I can't find an unlock code or keygen that works. so I use AVG cause it's free. oh and F-prot and Spybot S&D.

In which case you have an infected computer ::::shrugs::::

One day you'll pop on here whining you haven't been on for a few days cos your' 'puter packed up on you/couldn't get on the 'net/somesuch.

Free AVG?

Jim you obviously love what you do, but you seem to be completely missing the point.
Forums are about helping people and having a laugh.
To be frank you are just making a complete idiot of yourself you do not appear clever at all. As much as you are trying to be.

I bought my first pc in 1992 it was a Tulip 80286 12mhz with a 20Mb HDD and 640Kb ram and I've owned a pc ever since I have only ever been infected twice once when I borrowed a friends laptop and raided a uni's software (good old file manager and laplink.) and about 4 years ago when my stepson visited me and downloaded some crappy game. All this ****e about virus's runnning rampant and attacking everones pc is aload of bollocks.

seems our would be clever friend has either fallen asleep or run out of things to say.

do you think everytime he runs a full scan of his pc and it comes up clean, that he either

A: runs rounds the room shrieking OH YES OH YES then shoots in his pants.
or
B: Gets worried that his invincible anti virus program has been breached and runs another scan.

ere, if norton and all them others are as bad as jim the **** says, how come they are selling so many copies and why are they still in business. shirley if they was crap no **** would buy them and they'd go bust?
but what would i know i'm just dosey bollocks. and why has he not sed what he uses.?

. he's probelly got a cream from the doctor for his own virus and rubs it lovingly into his hard drive every night
