Servo setup

Can someone run through testing to see if my servo is working and how to set up thanks

Sit in the truck and before starting engine press down brake pedal in the normal way until it stops, hold there and then start engine. If working pedal will go down some more.

It doesn't but servo looks new

You write 'Set up', is it fitted as standard or retro fitted, is your land rover diesel or petrol?, if you post some more background i'm sure you will get the info to get it working,

2.25 diesel all standard setup just doesn't work

Is the hose sucking?

Not a lot

Have you set the butterfly flap in the inlet manifold according to the workshop manual , that’s very important

I haven't got one I'll have to get 1

Is it missing, it has a little hole in it so the engine has to suck hard to get the air it needs increasing the vacuum with flap closed, you could probably mimic it with a steel cap/ plate over end with hole in to test servo

A couple on eBay now good price

Some have used an electric vac pump.
