Is it possible to just drill this bracket and fit the upgraded 300tdi brake servo, previous 200tdi upgrading to bias. See attached images to understand mounting issue. The travel from the pedal to servo should be the same right? Or was that upgraded in 200tdi to 300tdi

Thanks in advance

Do not know part numbers.
My truck is Land Rover Ninety [ pre tdi]
The servo for these is getting rare although I have sourced one.
The info I was given was if unable to find the right servo it is best to change the lot for a much more common 300tdi box/servo.
Do not think it is an upgrade as such, more of a change of type used.

- Brake Pressure Reducing Valve for Land Rover Defender 90 SWB 94On AP OEM NTC8836
- Land Rover Defender 90 110 Brake Master Cylinder - LR013018
- Brake servo LR013488

Based off what I can see from the diagrams on LR workshop these part numbers are correct. Just for some weird reason my brake pedal box bolt hole alignments are well off

At this point I’ve had to upgrade to a bias and a new master cylinder, however the 3 port master cylinder doesn’t fit the old 200tdi servo so had to upgrade it to the 300tdi one which is what I have now and it’s looking like a mounting problem

LR workshop shows there’s two versions of the pedal box, one which is pre 2006 and one for after 2006. But based on my servo part number it SHOULD fit the pedal box

As you say if pedal to servo travel remains the same then how servo is mounted should make no difference.
Yet to fit mine so we shall see if any issues. Good luck.

Just started and looks like there’s extra travel so it’s going to be interesting to see if I have to pack it with washers. Can you check to see if your servo bolt pattern matches up?

Got this far so far. I feel like the old one was just fully flush and pin was in.. as you can see I haven’t bolted the nuts up yet

Had a peek at mine and it looks like it will mount the same way as one on the vehicle using the top two and bottom two holes in the pedal box and be flush. As noted before from what I understand my servo is a type fitted to 19j engine landy's only.
As you have drilled holes in pedal box to make servo fit then it is the wrong servo.

Yes it’s designed for the 200tdi servo

However G valves can’t be found and the recommendation is to upgrade to the BIAS valves which require a 3 port output on the master cylinder.

The 200tdi only has a 2 port output.

The 300tdi master cylinder has a 3 port output. However this 300tdi master cylinder can’t be fitted to the 200tdi servo due to incorrect bolt pattern (the 200tdi master cyl has closer together bolts).

So I’ve had to drill the wholes on the pedal box to make this servo fit.

Is your pedal box a 200tdi?

I’ve attached some images of the outcome

It does, whether it actually works is another matter. Some say they were fitted only from when rear discs were fitted but mine has drum rear.
