thinking of buying a service kit from Paddocks, fuel air and oil filters. they are not genuine parts so is this a good idea?

Avoid Britpart fuel with a TD5.
They like decent quality filters. I would buy the service kit from paddocks and keep the fuel filter as an emergency spare and then get a decent one from elsewhere.
