series gearbox

hi guys
can anyone help me to find out what type of gearbox i have attached to my landy. the landy is a series 2a/3 ( bits and pieces of other landrovers )
on the top cover of the gearbox there is a number 146901846
there is no suffix letter. At this moment i have taken it apart so that i can order new parts but they want to know what suffix A,B,C,D ?????????

have yu spoken to Ashcrofts?

Series II and IIA only have syncro on 3rd and 4th
Series III have syncro on all forward gears.

yu can identify up to "B" and "C" and after easily....

up to "B" have a 1st gear ratio oif 2.996:1
"C" and after have a 1st gear ratio of 3.60:1
