series fuel problem

HI everyone

could any one advise me if i can replace a standard petrol fuel pump with a electric one.my landy is a 1973 series 2a /3.

I believe some of the early series had a standard electric pump.
Beware though as some later pumps are not meant to be 'dead headed', the old petrol engine in my series only had 1 pipe to the tank, later electric pumps are usually designed for a 2 pipe system, fuel is continuously circulated around, what isnt required is returned to tank.
If you want a single pipe non return system, then you'll probably need an old lucas type pump used on the early series.
