Played this game myself. You gotta use the S3 plate, cover and bearing. Seem to remember having to muller a bit of crossmember off aswell. Er.. the hydraulic pipes need a fudge too.
The olderer n wiserer will say about power ratings n stuff but as all I got is a 2n1/4 oilburner it didn't matter.. check this first..

Right, i fitted the gearbox new series 3 pressure plate used the exsisting pressure plate new slave cylinder release bearing etc. Bled clutch system, and it doesnt seem to disingage the clutch enough i can feel it through the hole in the top of the belhousing, i can only feel pressure on the peddle right at the bottom of its travel,
any idears?

Are you sure your master cylinder is ok and set correctly. If you have a spare hydraulic pipe or bleed screw wot fits into the outlet port of the master cylinder, fit it, crimp or block it and check the peddle then. There should be minimal movement then it should lock up solid. The slave cylinder is self adjusting so as long as the release arm and bearing are fitted correctly, the driven plate is not distorted or stuck on rust, there should be no problems.?

You need to fit the S3 Clutch assy, the S2 has a raised boss and will be no good with the S3 , you will also need the S3 slave mech assy, its better in the long run.
If the driven plate is the same diameter you can use that.:)
