series 3 engine

hi what engine will fit into my series 3 without any cutting or rewelding and can be done over a weekend ? my series engine is low on compression and going to use it till im off over crimbo and my plan is to put another engine in over crimbo seen a few defender 90 2.5 dervs but will they fit without any mountings getting moved etc cheers

200DI out of a disco (You can bung the turbo on if you buy a conversion kit or make one)

is urs a diesel?
yes 2.5's will fit but need some of the original manifolds and stuff keeping

at present myn is a 2.25 petrol but can easyly clean tank out and change to derv just dont fancy any welding or cutting would rather it just bolt to my gearbox and engine mountings etc so basicaly can be done more a less over a weekend

14j or 15j 2.5 Na from either a sherpa 350/400 or a fx4 taxi

the 12j 2.4 n/a or the 19j turbo needs the drivers side mounting altering to fit

a 14j or 15j can use manifolds from a 2.25, but mine has a modified front pipe and uses the manifolds that came with the engine.
