Series 3 Dash

I know this has been covered quite a few times, but i was hoping someone might have stumbled across something new and also the search function on the website doesn't seem to be working.

My lower dash that runs the length of the bulk head is not in great shape, especially the end piece for the windscreen washer bottle. i have a few questions

1. can you fiber glass the inside of them rather than try and weld such thin metal?
2. is it simple to make up a new thicker one and still have it as the air-box for the fans?
3. does anyone make a replacement part yet?

as usual any help is hugely appreciated.

Rip it out and bin it. I did and made my own design. It’s the easiest car to modify.
