series 3 chassis

Hi, i recently bought a land rover series 3 as a project. I knew the chassis wasn't great and would need some welding doing to it but i have been having a closer look and the is massive amounts of rust. It looks like there is much more work to be done than is worth. I was thinking of just replacing the chassis completely with either a good second hand one or a brand new one. But due to lack of funds i havnt got thousonds of pounds to spend on a brand new one. So if anyone has or knows of anyone with a good cheap chassis please let me know.

So you can make a ringer? The chassis IS the ID of the vehicle.

i think you wiil struggle to find second hand one in good nick,probably cheapest option to buy rear half chassis front dumb irons and out riggers and weld up the rest
