Hi all, sorry for asking this i know its a sore subject,
I have a 77 swb Petrol, i really want to get some standard / period looking wheels and tyres back on it rather than the Wide Modulars that came with it,

any suggestions on wheel rims & tyre Combos as i will be starting from fresh.

I like the look of standard rims but, would consider slightly wider but don't want any weller type with holes cut out, I want my lady to look standard but a few subtle weeks to make it more reliable / pleasure to drive.

the tyres will be 50/50 road / field

thank you thank you

Well there's not a lot there is standard short wheel base which I believe are 4.5 inch wide, then there are long wheelbase which are 5.5 inch wide with better offset, then there is wolf wheels which look the same with holes which are 6.5 inch wide which may not be to your taste. Then there is the forward control 1ton wheels which are as standard but at 6.5 and same offset as wolfs, these are very sought after and usually go for a lot of cash.

If you want it original I have a set of five rims and tyres with excellent tread, limestone colour that will be surplus to requirment shortly, also a set of Lwb rims in good nick in green.

Forward control and 1 ton wheels are not the same thing.

A subtle tweak would be some anr1534, so long as you don't buy them from these eeegits.

John Craddock LTD

I got 4 of these from vass I think it was a while back for 30 quid each.

Or look for the 130 wheels that can take tubeless tyres.
