HELP !!
Ok I have a series 3 with a 200 TDi connected to a Series Gearbox. All of a sudden 2nd has become hard to find and now needs holding in gear (2nd only). I have read loads and there seems to be conflicting information online regarding what the problem could be.
Anyway if you have a good idea on what the problem is and how to fix it I would be interested.
One idea I have had is replacing the gearbox with a 200 TDi gearbox and I do like the idea of the extra gear although I have no idea on how easy it would be to do. Also someone said it might be hard to connect to the four wheel drive and that If it does connect then 2wd might not be an option. Is it just a case of removing the old one and bolting in the new one ?
Can anyone help ?
I bought the car on ebay and at the moment its my only vehicle I have. I am a novice when it comes to Landys mechanics.
