Series 2 rear hub caps

Hi, nearing the end of the restoration of my 1968 series 2a and I bought two caps for the rear hubs from paddocks, is there any tips or tricks to removing the old as they seek absolutely solid from all the years being on. Any help appreciated. Cheers, mark

Pry bar or large screwdriver is all I ever use, they can be tight, be warned as they fliick off there will be half an egg cup full of oil in the cap which will splatter you, got me the tyre and the driveway today!
A thin smear of sealant where the cap slides over the hub is a good idea to stop any oil leaks onto the wheel, and to stop any water getting into the hub cap.
