series 1 x raf any experts

hi all
where can i find details of the history of an ex raf series 1
all i know is that it was built in 58 and released in 85;
it appears to be an original two wheel drive........ the front axle, swivels etc. are land rover but there's no diff ???
i did read somewhere that a few were supplied but can find no info
any ideas?

A mate of mine used to have a 2wd 88' S1. It was ex raf and was used mainly on airfields I believe. It's reg was 593 FUV. In our naivety we converted it to 4wd and scrapped the original front axle. You live and learn!!
