Series 1 Series 1 4x2

Well I don't venture on this sub forum as I've not owned a series for a few years..... but.... whilst watching Britannic Restorations channel on YouTube last night I learned something which surprised me.
I never knew there was a 2wd series one (ex military), seems like quite a rare beast. Does anyone have one? Seems odd that LR produced it, presumably just a weight saving thing?

I've just re-read my first reply. It was a bit abrupt, wasn't it? It wasn't meant to me any kind of whinge that it didn't need a new thread, just that there was a thread that already contained a reasonable about of relevant information. Sorry if I came across as being stroppy - I didn't mean to be.

No problem, I'm not easily offended. I did find the information useful in the other thread thanks . Not sure I'd have a 2wd landy, I'd just buy a mk 1 freelander if I'd wanted 2wd. Plenty of those around
