Hi All

I have a small problem with a sensor connector, in this case it is the cam sensor. Car is a 2002 4.6 Thor.

The problem is that the lead has 3 cables coming in to it on of which has come out of the plug with its metal clip in tag.

Does anyone have a fix for broken leads? The only thing I can think of is to get another one and splice it in. The annoying thing is that it is one of the most awkward lead to fiddle with. Then I also have to track one down and not sure what the connector is called?

Any help appreciated!

If the locking tang is still in place open it and push it back in. If not jut push it back in after plug is connected.

Most good auto electrics places will be able to supply correct connector or maybe a breakers. Google throws plenty up on a search for auto sensor connectors.

Thought they would be a pain in the arris to find. Will Rave identify its part number or type?

Wammers, I was thinking that a breakers may be best option as I can splice it in. The tang is there, but because of the position it is awkward to get in properly. I have tried to get it back in, but it will not lock on to sensor lead properly, so a new/replacement one is best option I think.

Make sure you are putting it in the correct way up it will only lock one way, open the tang slightly and insert it should lock in. If it doesn't do same again but put in other way up. Try that. Breakers is an option RAVE does not give part number.
