I am trying to sell my 90 and was phoned last night by Shaun, from the Canary Islands.
He wants to fly over and buy it.

Apart from the obvious of being a timewaster, what should I watch out for?
I will not be letting the 90 go until I have the money in my bank account but how do I fill out the V5?
Do I just put in his address abroad?

Cheers for any advice and help

Cash is the only acceptable form of payment on this, I flew in from Poland bought a disco and drove it back the next day, no problem with the V5, if i remember correctly i ticked the export or scrap option but i believe the V5 has changed a bit since then.

Cash is king, if he is offering enough then accept but remember to tell him cash only.

Cash only. Do not except banktransfers or bankersdrafts...if he does rip you off you are not covered by car insurance for theft because its classed as fraud..

Cash only + paid into bank account before handing keys over - else you maybe left with fake notes

As said above...cash only. On the V5 there is a section for ''Permanently Exported''..you fill that in, rip it off and post it to DVLA, he keeps the rest so he can mot and re-reg it abroad. If you can get a copy of his driving licence and a receipt for both you and him stating the sale, dated and timed...important so you dont get any speeding tickets from cameras.

Its easy really, make sure you're not alone when he arrives too just for peace of mind. Good luck!
