My Freelander 1 (TD4 5-door) occasionally (perhaps 6 or 7 times in 4 years of ownership) lowers itself while the car is parked. IIRC it has always been overnight, usually in my own driveway but once in my work car park (at work for several days, don't ask) and most recently, parked on the street overnight.
Nothing has ever been taken from the car, or placed there.
Any suggestions on the likely cause? I expect to have the odd problem with a 13 year old car, even one as tough as the Freelander has been; it would be nice to know what to fix!
As an extra factor, possibly related... twice in the last year or so, the rear window has fully returned to the top (closed) position while the tailgate has been open. Looking at other rear window threads, I think I am lucky not to have broken the window while closing it.
