good idea in theory, but could only cope with one pre-set pressure unless it was electronic, then you could dial in which pressure you need.

e.g. changing from fully laden on a motorway to just me on me lonesome exploring a greenlane or muddy field (well I do drive a freelander, wouldn't want to go much further off road would I?)

It's a joke.

There's NO WAY tyres can slop around the bead of the wheel like that!

Anyone who has taken a Landy tyre off a wheel knows that.

Snake oil.

I think yu might have missed the point, Charlesy - the tyre doesnt slip - there is a built in tube within the tyre - this acts like a Peristaltic pump and this traps a volume of air which is moved along the tube by the tyre rotating and pressurises (or not) the tyre.

The pressures would, yes, have to be adjustable, and the article mentions calibrated springs. Dont forget that tyre pressure monitoring systems are now a legal requirement on all new cars in the US. Mind you - the monitoring systems aint cheap.

for more info - their website....
