Hi Sorry not reading whole story! didn't get passed page one. Was it the prop shaft bearings causing the binding on full lock?
Regards

It is normal for the Freelander to feel tight on full lock, mine does so especially in reverse. With the auto as mine is it will slow but not stop using no throttle at all while reversing on full lock - a manoevre I have to do every day. People with seized VCUs report cars stalling too easily on full lock & autos needing plenty of revs on full lock.

Hi Guy's, How would you go about removing the propshaft to the VCU?? Do you take it all off, right from the IRD to the VCU back to the rear diff? I know it will only be front wheel drive, but long term will it harm anything? And has anyone done this. Cheers
