When i cut the Ford pipe to remove a section and add the compression joint, i ended up using a dremel as the pipe cutter was great for cutting copper pipes but crap at cutting steel pipes.

Thanks for the info. I don't think I've tried it on steel yet .I'll try it on a gash piece of pipe shortly.

Good quality pipe cutter will handle steel ok. Dremmel also good, but be sure to use a heat mat if cutting in situ to stop the sparks going where you don't want them (goggles too).

Yip, mine are not at the weeping stage yet,just sweating very slightly.But i know it is inevitable.
