Seeping Oil Cooler pipes

I bought a plumbers mini pipe cutter and have checked that I can get it to do a full 360* revolution round the pipes. Only cost a coupleof quid. The compression fittings were about £20 if memory serves me right.

When i cut the Ford pipe to remove a section and add the compression joint, i ended up using a dremel as the pipe cutter was great for cutting copper pipes but crap at cutting steel pipes.;)

Thanks for the info. I don't think I've tried it on steel yet .I'll try it on a gash piece of pipe shortly.

Good quality pipe cutter will handle steel ok. Dremmel also good, but be sure to use a heat mat if cutting in situ to stop the sparks going where you don't want them (goggles too).
