Seatbelts

Well good and bad news - half way through a disco rebuild to be the family car and child number 3 is on its way! Is there any way to change the rear middle lap strap seat belt for a full seat belt? Does a disco 2 seat have a full belt would the rear seat fit into a disco 1? Hate to have to sell my project if its no use for all the kids.

Yeah disco 2 is a full seatbelt in the middle I don't see why you couldn't modify the rear seat to fit a discovery 1

Can anyone tell me if disco 2 TD5 seats will fit in the back of the disco 1? Seen loads on ebay and would be ideal but needs to bolt in and be safe. Anyone done it?

If u mean in the boot then no room. Thats why the D2 is longer

Why would you need to change the lap belt?

Im not fussed for the back 3rd row just the rear seats. I need a full belt rather than a lap belt for a kids seat as I will now have 3 kids seats in the rear.

Easy option is to put the third child seat in the front and put the wife in the middle back seat. Problem sorted no need to change anything or loose your disco ;p

In all the five seat cars I have access to the middle rear belt is fitted up above the head lining, try doing that in a D1
