Hi there, I think if you try to swap Disco seats you might well run into issues:

1. Early and late DiscoI seats have different bases which make them not a straight swap;

2. Ditto for three and 5 door DiscoI;

3. Ditto for DiscoI and DiscoII;

Anything can be made to fit if you are talented at fabricating adaptor plates.

Disco2 seats will not fit in a Disco1....

Front seats are a different width at thr runners. This could bre overcome by making a full sized adaptor plate.

Rear seats will not fit at all...............Rear seats have a different latch mechanism and set up.

I considered the change for my Disco 1 and worked out that the amount of work it would entail did not justify it. Just keep yours eyes open for a good set of Disco 1 direct replacements.

If you want to improve your seats did you know that you can fit Ranbge Rover Classic seats in a Disco quite easily. The back seats are a straight swap, the front seats need an adaptor plate.

I know this is an older thread but,

Is there a way of fitting a 3 point seat belt instead of the lap belt in the middle seat of my disco1 (1996)??

Thanks

Fish

not a chance mate.

the seat aint strong enough to mount a seatbelt on it, and the roof aint strong enough to mount a seat belt either.

it's just a massive no-no IMO mate, sorry!

the range rover seats are more comfortable, but your never gonna be able to fit a centre 3 point in a disco 1 or 2.

the seats are not designed to take the load of a seatbelt, and the roof is too weak and too high to have a seatbelt mounted either.

oh well!
