Hallo from Germany,
I have an Freelander 2 2008 without build in Seat heaters.
Now i bought from an crash landy the Original seats, moduks and Clima Control but the Heaters do not work.
In the workshop tey say that the seatheting mist be programmt in the Motor control module ( Can Bus)
But... they need an aktivating code. This code should cost about 100 Euro. ist it right or can i programm the seat without this code?
Thank you for viewing

The front heated seat option will need to be turned on in the CCF car configuration file. This is a quick reprogram of your Freelander 2. It is needed to make the seats work. You will also need the air conditioning switch/module with the heated seat button in the middle of the switch. Others have added heated seats and it worked ok if you have all the cables to connect them up.

I don't know why they refer to 100 euro to buy a file. I would expect a main dealer will enable heated seats for 50 euros.

You don't need to buy the CCF, you simply need them modified to tell the vehicle controller that the heaters are fitted. I expect the BCM and HVAC ECU need to be told that seat heaters are fitted. It's possible that a LR dealer can do this for you, but not all can or will. If a dealer can't, then you'll need to find someone that can reprogram the CCFs to allow the seat heaters to work. Or buy yourself the programming tool to do the job, and anything else you might like to upgrade later on.

I was by the LR Dealer. I have all the original parts needet for heatet seats and ok the kables plugt in.
Hhe connect his programming tool and then he schow me an screenshot that he need an code from Land Rover to switch the seat heating controll to on. The activaton process he can only make it together with the LR techniker in realtime an this job cost 100 Euro extra..
is it possible or is it only fake?

LR might well charge for the vehicle build CCF to modified. I read somewhere that LR don't like to change the build specification, after the vehicle leaves the production line. So it's possible they're charging, extra for the privilege of changes to the original build specification.

€100 isn't that expensive.

You can buy a brilliant programming tool, which you can use to do whatever programming modifications you like to the vehicle. However such a tool will cost a considerable amount more at over £500. However this tool will be yours to use as often as you like, to change or modify the CCFs to suit your needs.

Did you successful to enable it?

I have 2010 td4 SE automatic with leather and electric seats. I don't know heater components already embedded or not. I don't have seat heater buttons on climate control unite. Which parts will I need to get for have heated seats?
Cheers..
