Seat Belts

The front belts on my RR are absolute crap, you pull them out, and they no longer spring back (this has been a slow progressive thing over some time) are they 1 easy to take out and 2 a sealed unit (I want to fix the problem if I can, probably just needs some lube around the spring or somfink like that

Do they go back if u help them if so I would clean the upper part of the belt guide and giv it abit of silicone or wd40 on the belt slider and it should b ok that's how we do them at work

Well that didn't work, i think im gona have to take the plastic side panel out and have a look 2 see if its a sealed unit

they are semi sealed - I had a similar prob with my passenger front one, took off the plastic panel and all looked as it should. Removed the leccy plug and took out the unit - lota of stickers on vqarious bits saying do not open/remove.

Bought a set of good used belts from a 1997 P38 from e-bay (bloke wouldn't sell 'em seperatly) told me they were same as post 1999.

Guess what, they aren't interchangable, had to trawl local breakers and managed to get one that worked & fitted.

Changing them is dead easy as long as you can handle a spanner & remove a few plastic clips.

If yours is a pre 1999 P38 then I have a full set of seatbelts available - will split or sell together

Just looking for front ones for a 97 (at the right price) ta mucho though pm me for a price
