I'm in the process of a chassis change on my 90 and am taking the opportunity to repair some body work. The battery box - my question is this, when over lapping the new material to the old to create a new joint is it best to seal the joint, if so what with?

you can buy brushable seam sealer from good paint or motor factors it sets somewhat after applying ,

Thanks, I'll make enquiries tomorrow, I assume it's painted between the two metals just prior to joining.

if yu want to put anything between the panels - use a weld thru primer liberally applied.
