Does any one have any experience of them:confused:

I have read good reports on several other forums and noticed that the UK suppliers UKOBD Ltd have offered discounts to these forum/owners club by way of a discount code pm'd to members:clap2:.
Does LZ already have a discount code if not maybe one of the admins could negotiate one if there were enough interest:).

Yeah, I have one.

They work fine for the Fuel MPG computer / reading sensors etc, but the fault code reader doesn't work as apparently the LR faults are encrypted, which the Scangauge can't handle.

Mine is a MY04 TD4, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that the earlier diesels don't support OBD2...

Cheers

Okay, This is an epic thread revival.

I have one of these devices with the latest firmware as far as I'm aware.

On my TD4 2006 model I have it displaying instant mpg, average mpg, mph and water temp.

Most of the time it takes an age to start recording data, apart from the mph which starts immediately. Just occasionally it will display the mpg almost as soon as it starts, but it always surprises me when it does.

Anybody else have problems with their TD4 and scan gauge combo?

Mine has been fine , touch wood , with gauge info instant , boost , mph , volts , water temp , not heard of the fault code encryption , bit of a **** if its true :eek:

The idea of OBD2 is the fault codes aren't encrypted. They are or should be readable on pretty much any OBD2 reader including the scanguage.

The Scangauge reads the OBD2 codes on my 2006 KV6 FL.
But it doesn't give reliable readings for water temp and MPG (instant and average).

Mpg reliability is going to be off as it's an auto. This is I suspect something to do with transmission losses.
Engine temperature should read 100% correct as the live data is also used by the ECU for its active calculations.

Hi,
Correct re the pre facelift diesels. There is NO fule flow data therefore will not do MPG etc. Volts, Map, TPS, Temp, RPM, Speed, Intake temp is what they do on earlier diesels. Mine's and '01 and no fuel data. '04 on I think.

I get fuel data on my '06, just it can take from a few seconds to a couple of hours to display it. Not sure if the car is the problem or if it is the Scangauge. It is already on its 2nd main board and I have the same problem. Which is why I thought it might be the car.
