funny u say that , it says in the manual not to put a 3 door freelander through a car wash and to my expense found out why as it ripped the aerial base off

typical as i never read instructions until something goes wrong

then replaced the aerial base, gave it an extra turn, snap, then another trip to the local stealers

50 quid later, lolol

They normally remind peeps at the fool station to remove aerials.

Years ago I had a quote from a main dealer for a tratter. Sales man told me never to use a car wash due to the way the panel seems join on a tratter. Especially the roof. Then he went on to say not to do it to any of their cars. When buying a ford the bloke warned me about car washes when handing it over.

I rarely use a car wash with mine as it dun't do a good job due to the shape.

hiya

that was the annoying thing i duly removed the aerial only leaving the base, also as i sat in the car saw the sign no responsibility taken for damage

also i looked at the back door as like others the storage area is damp, nothing what so ever

but will never take it through a car wash again and intend to strip out the interior to find the leak coming into the back door, will just sit in the back whilst i get my son put a hose pipe over it and wait, lolol

seen some other models of a defender pulling a freelander , dam biased , lolol
