Mornin all,

just joined up from sunny Thailand and will undoubtedly be asking a host of stupid questions (seeing as I know absolutely boo about mechanics and cars...)

I have a 35 year old Series III with dodgy brakes, a first gear that slips at the most critical times, and a hand brake that does not. Most importantly it has a 10 year old Nissan Safari engine that might just have to be replaced...

Thailand has some outstanding parks that we will visit and share pics and videos here. Having been here for quite some time, I am happy to answer questions about traveling here...

Thanks in advance to any and all that answer my questions, hopefully I will learn something during the process and pester less as time goes on.

Cheers,

Simon.

Welcome to the Forum :)

Which corner of Thailand are you at? that 109 looks smart.

Hope we can help, try posting your problems in the series section, knowledgable bunch of folk there.

We are based in Nonthaburi on the outskirts of Bangkok (North-West by the river). Easy access to Kanchanaburi and Rachaburi from our place - lots of off-road tracks through thick jungle made hard work by torrential rain!

I spend a day at the garage tomorrow learning how to do basic maintenance and watching repairs on the brakes, handbrake and trying to stop 1st gear from slipping out!

Pic of the wife on a 4x4 training circuit in Ratchaburi

Cheers all.
