Right ive had a search and cant seem to find anything so wondering if anyone knows,

the 90 i currently have has a Ram type Safari snorkel fitted which i find a stupid design, you spin the wheels a little or have splash or spray and its straight down the mouth of the snorkel.

What i'm wondering is if they do a mushroom top or anyone knows of one that can be adapted to fit nicely instead of replacing the complete snorkel system.

thanks

ive never had a problem with my safari, and done some pretty serious mud stuff, cant remember any going down the snorkal, as it tends to go up the sides of my defender

Why don't you just turn the head of the snorkel 180* so that it faces backwards?

Or you could just turn the intake at the top round through 180 degrees?

If driving through a blizzard I turn the snorkel head round to face backwards and it's no problem.

when i turn mine round it hits the roof so only goes 120degrees say lol, so looks stupid and tbh i prefer the mushroom look.

im not saying its choking the engine or anything, but its definitely going in as you can see the mud runs inside.
Main time i noticed was during the floods here, not a everyday thing lol, but i was watching the rooster tails come straight from the wheels to the snorkle. Of course i slowed for this.

The safari snorkel uses 3 extra holes in the wing, metal ones use the same holes so if you fit a metal one you will be left with 3 holes around the vent hole in the wing

you're getting water and mud down the ram? you're either driving through some really fooking deep stuff or driving really fooking fast :D had no probs with mine...except when I caught the ram on a tree and ripped it in half  put it back on facing backwards :D

I've been in deep ish water and splash the puddles and never had that but IMO the mushroom tops have just the same problem as my mate done his engine in with one on and you can't turn them round?
