Is there something separating the frame and alloy skin on the SP doors to prevent the metals reacting?

If the frame is galvinased there's no real need to seperate the alloy from the galv door frame. The reaction should be very slow if at all there due to the metals being so close on the galvanic table. :tea:

They do look a really tidy job, although the fun will begin when you try and paint them, new galv. is quite hard to get paint to stick to.
That is a good price as well. I paid £200 for one of my doors second hand, but it is totally rust free,and £100 for the one with slightly bent frame, but otherwise all good.

Slight thread hijack here but I was having a look on the SPLandrovers website for door skins for the lift up handles. I came across ally ones but does anyone know if its possible to get steel skins?

No idea, but if you mean series doors with sliding windows and lift latches they are pretty easy to find and reasonably priced. I dont know why the 90/110 and Defender ones are so dear, my guess is that the series ones have been made aftermarket for longer, so costs have fallen due to economies of scale.

Yeah. It's anti burst locks I've got on mine but the only ally skins I've seen are standard series ones but I wouldn't mind getting a hold of some steel skins. Failing that the ally ones are only 18 quid each

never rust wont dent or break easily and everything bolts straight in. But a bit pricier.
