Thanks to all of ya S*L*U*T*S for a cracking day out! Fantastic introduction to green laning, a seemingly safe drive with minimal potential damage to the moter (if you know yer left from right), some cracking views through the clouds and mist, a few scary bit to get the sphincter twitching and only a small oil leek (and that seems to have healed itself) to show for it. Oh, and a disco covered in mud.

I reckon a special fanks to DV for providing the entertainment, Buckshot and Boomer (aka Steamer) for inviting me along, Ratty for diagnosing my drippage.

And cracking photos, shame about there being none on my bloody camera...

The steering guard will be going on this week. Where to next!?

Seeing as I was made so welcome I hought i'd drop by and say hi and thanks! Had a top day out - very eventful Had a good day out on Salisbury Plain with Buckshot today and a nice 3 3/4 hour drive back to N. Wales this evening!

I'll stop by now and again to join in a bit of banter but for the time being I can't afford to replace the GTi-6 with a Landy.

Can't afford to replace the GTi!? :doh: I'm sure someone on here knows someone with a box of matches and a can of derv. Or there are a lot of gorges in N Wales you culd drop it into. Then you can get someit when the hinsurance pays out, eh?

I paid 600 nicker for my Disco and it's self healing (the oil leak has stopped dripping - and not cos there's none left in the sump).

And for the observant amongst you, you will notice the brake caliper is now in front of the axle instead of being behind it.

Took wheel orf and caliper fell off, both mounting points had sheared thru, with remains still bolted to the hub.


Well if yu is gonna break it, do it in style.

It weren't stuck cos it had no brakes on it !!!!!
