Yeah m8, get the MIG hooked up and go for it - just finished welding up my '93 200tdi - rear crossmember, 2mm plate, new boot floor panel(craddocks) Drivers floor, 1.5mm zintec, passed the 'sweat' last week
still got inner flitches to do yet - just takes time & prep - had most grief cracking rusty 'ol nuts & bolts:fighting::
BTW dont forget to disconnect battery & alternator etc.

Ok will do , oh and I was going to look look at the boot pillar because the boot won't shut without slamming it, but I don't see any way if gaining access to it.
