Hi people. Whenever I see Rangies mentioned in the UK etc the subject of rust is almost essential viewing and a big turn off. :( Probably due to the damp salty air and salt on the roads.

I'm an Aussie and rust in a Classic RR, Disco etc of any age is almost unheard of except for those few that regularly live on the coast and launch boats. My '94 LSE hasn't got a tinge of brown on it anywhere. There are just so many Rangies in excellent condition [body, structural and mechanical] kicking around here it is ridiculous.:D

I suppose what I'm getting at is for those of you who are dedicated to this model then have you ever considered importing one from Aus? [we are right hand drive too] Or is cost prohibitive? Rangies, Discos' and P38s' are not that popular here and prices reflect this.

Just wondering????? Cheers.

surely shipping a classic would be pointless. could be wrong but would think it would be a fortune. Cheaper to have some serious work done to a chassis and powdercoated.
