Anyone using lpg?
Just acquired a w registered 3 door with lpg
Had Headgasket problems but sorted that it's running 2wd format
Anyone know what mpg and if lpg causes any problems

It depends on the quality of the LPG conversion as to how severe the problems are. But yes, LPG runs too hot, causing issues with valves, seats and HGs.

Problem with LPG is that it burns slower. So with standard timing it is still burning when the exhaust valves open. Any good LPG system should have a controller that advances the ignition timing whilst running on LPG.

This is correct.
When Rover made the official LPG Rover 75. They used a custom ignition map when the LPG was active. This helped compensate for the slower burn of LPG. I believe that even the official LPG cars suffered from burnt valves and damage seats. Obviously the K series HG failed anyway, so that couldn't be directly attributed to the LPG.

According to garage that's looked after this one it's been gassed for a few years.
I've just done head, skimmed it, lapped in the valves no sign of any obvious damage cracking or such like.
Was the bespoke rover 75 a 4 post k series?
Done some googling around can't seem to find any info.

Yes there was a factory LPG system available.
A bit of Googling found the following information.
The Rover factory LPG was actually bought in and fitted by an authorised fitter, Eco Gas Systems in the Midlands. The systems were made by Landi Renso and of the multi point variety.
Both 4 and 6 pot K series engines were converted using Landi Renso systems.
Eco Gas Systems went bust after the collapse of Rover due to a huge unpaid bill.
Eco Gas Systems were the UKs only Landi Renso authorised supplier.
Hope that helps.

Further to that.
I don't believe Land Rover ever offered an official LPG conversion for the Freelander.

My now sold 03 5 door ran on LPG for over 100,000miles no HG problems.
There is a gent on the LPG Discussion Forum who has a K series rover Taxi 1.8 with 175,000 on her
