4.6 auto 198k 1996
Not done many miles since lockdown but tried to give her a run every week.
I am now getting a rumbling noise on over run
Oils and filters were all changed recently and UJs greased.
Last thing before rumbling started was a new back tyre.
Wheel nuts are tight
Anybody got any ideas where to look?
Ta much

Diff bearing. It'll run for years like it. Changing fluid might help.

Check for movement in the pinion bearing in the front diff, grab the prop flange "fnarr" and give it a push...

up/down it should be tight "fnarr" ;)

One wheel from each axle up?
No.

Just check for up and down movement on the diff flange, this bit.. ;)
