Rubber Drain Offs????

Hi guys, can anyone tell me what the 2 rubber things are either side of the centre console but underneath the car are? saw a drip of water come from one and when i touched the end of it a whole load of water came out. Are these where the sunroof drain away pipes come to or are they just drain offs from the footwells?

Sunroof drains are in the A post, A/C drains are around the bell housing area.

Thanks for your reply. These rubber drains are fitted into the metal of the car. Is the a/c drains not direct from the a/c unit to atmosphere? Does the a/c have two seperate drains? I know my sunroof is leaking so could these drains be footwell drains? Sunroof leaking running down to floor of car and coming out these drains?
My carpet is damp but am not losing water so think i can rule out heater matrix knackered? or could the a/c drain off be getting my carpet wet?

Yes two hoses from the A/C and if one has a problem with it and it's leaking from the part thats still inside the car the the carpet will be wet..

Ok thanks, Hopefully they were just blocked then and as i flicked the ends and loads of water (like a pint) came out of each then maybe its fixed. We will see. lol.

Almost certainly your problem - they block easily in dry dusty conditions. You end up with a wet floor, which can be hot - I assume that the water must run over the outside of the heater matrix.

If you have a heater matrix leaking, the car tends to steam up - I've had both problems in the past!
