As title really,

got a few probs with my EAS and intrested in being able to clear and look at the faults without paying for a dealer !

anyone got any experience with the all comms unit ?

it looks like a nice bit of kit, with lots of support ?

can it only clear faults or can you also change the cars settings like enabling "lazy locking" etc.. (the stuff you have to go to the stealers for)

and am i right in thinking your not tied down to using it on just your own car ? ie not locked to your vin ?

lastly what about customs charge from the US ? it will cost more than the unit itself ! lol

Thanks guys
:D

Import duty and vat may be payable if it's picked up on.

HI Hippo i've just ordered one of these systems and it was picked up by customs. I have had to pay a further £28.78 to get it delivered and pay the custom clearance charges.
Still it should be worthwhile and i'm looking on it as a good investment .It arrives on Sat 14th Jan.

I suggest you look at the RSW site, all the info is there. It's not VIN locked but the software may not be complete yet.

I've got one.
I think all of the systems are completed for the L322 but check your vin no. on the RSW website first. Only earlier models are covered.
My interest is the p38 but sadly only the EAS is the only working module so far.

do you use yours on an L322 ?

how do you find it ?

im so confused as to which make to get ?

All comms, Hawkeye, syncmate etc... can anyone suggest which ones are best ?

i want one that will do most things, not just the EAS.

Thanks :D

No I haven't used it on an L322 so far.
I bought it in anticipation of it being developed for the p38 but I have been waiting and waiting! I have got a faultmate as well and I use that on my p38.
Look on the RSW website to see what is covered by the Allcoms. Looks pretty comprehensive for the L322 to me. It is also not locked to one vehicle or model. It only covers L322 models up to a certain vin no. which is stated on the website.
At the moment it partly covers p38 and disco systems. It is simple and well made but you need a PC. Software updates are automatic as and when the guy writes them.
He is a one man band with another full time job. Don't hold your breath about support. Also there is no forum as yet.
There is nothing to stop you downloading the software for free and trying it out to see what is covered. Software runs but obviously will give an error message when it doesn't find the unit.
Impressive what has been done so far.

The Faultmate is without doubt the best but expensive for the L322.

You are going to have a long wait IMO before the Allcomms does anything more than the EAS on the P38, Storey has his hands full catering for all the newer models and the hardware cannot cover all the P38 sytems as it does not have connections for the SRS for example. Take the lid off and look, you will find pin 14 of the OBD connector has no connection. There are other things about the hardware that suggest to me it is not suited to the P38 systems.
For the L322 I think Storey has done a great job with the software, I don't see anything to match it at the price.

Thanks for your replys.

Well it's between hawkeye and the all comms unit. I don't care about the p38 compatability as I only want to use it on my l322.

So the question is which ones better ?

I like the idea that the hawkeye is standalone and it doesn't require a laptop.
Which ones have more options ?

Thinking by the time I buy the all comms from the US and pay the customs charge the hawkeye unit might be cheaper ?

Thanks !

Personally I'd go for the Allcomms, I think the data available on a laptop screen is much more usefull than the little Hawkeye display and all the updates are free.

Thanks for the help.
Right need to add a poll. Lol

All comms or hawkeye ???

Hawkeye for me at the moment ? Lol

Do I need to buy any additional adapters for it to work other than the softwhere update leads ? As far as I can see on the website the included cable should do everything on the l322 ?

Confused. Com lol

i have all comms had to pay £14 import duty
works great on my l322 ,only thing is you cant see real time data you will need faultmate msv for this which i have also but its alot more expensive

try this ebay190626103440 seems to be simelar to rsw software ???/

thanks for your help.

that is exactly the same as the RSW unit. Same unit and same software as the £200 unit !

and its called the same ! ? ! ? "RSW All comms"

does it look dodgy ? he's sold one already ?

hmm....

I've bought the hawkeye , just finding my way round it. You would need the red adaptor in addition to the included lead. I really wanted something that didn't require a laptop. Enery8 on here Has set up a hawkeye user forum.
