RRS sat nav problem.

Can anyone help , the sat nav (DVD) player is clicking resulting in a flickering screen , sometimes the sat nav will start working after a couple of mins sometimes does not work for a day or so - message says no nav available . Stereo etc is fine !!!
Dealer wants to fit new DVD player at £1800 -!!!!

What year??

The L322 did suffer from moisture ingress into the electronics bay, I wonder if the Sport did too....

If thats the case, take a good look into the electronics area and check for condensation and moisture - but guess would be wetness in the DVD player and/or multiplugs feeding to/from it.

You can get the DVD drive from Ebay if you're willing to wait for one to pop up, expect to pay between £300 and £500 for one though - they are plug and play so no complex set up required I shouldn't think - atleast it isn't in the L322!!!

One thing I forgot to mention is the sat nav disc will not eject - does not help the situation.

Maybe no choice but to look for a used one on eBay - I guess the risk there is whether that will work etc

Try disconnecting power to the satnav unit for a few mins
Might reset something ?

If it's just out of warranty, I'd be hammering the dealer and LR to fix it for free
