Having overheating issues with my p38 4.0 thor. Changed everything under the bonnet. Went out last night for a spin in it and was fine. No overpressure in top pipe and running ok. Idle at 850 rpm and a little pinking.
saw a little pink stain on drivers carpet and suspect the O rings have gone and thats where the airs getting in and the coolant loss.
Where are the best instructions for doing this job ob a RHS P38 and are main stealer O rings in order , not flee bay items

ive got the same problem. i started to take the side panel and dash apart to investigate and it was pretty easy using the link above. i brought my o rings today and will be replacing them on saturday. might have to get the wife to act as a second pair of hands when removing some of the dashboard !!!

ill post when its done

There is a post on here somewhere that gives the adcice of cutting the airducts and taping up in the end this is what I did and it takes loads of time off the job also any time you do any work on the heater feed return ( I have lpg so thats where I cut in to the hot water for lpg) you knacker the rings donwe mine twice in 5 yrs so the cut made it a quick job.

Just followed the instructions from the rangerover.net. So far so good changed the rings (the top one is a barstool to get out and puyt back in.
Having trouble putting the screw back in the hoilding plate. Can you tell me what size thread it is so that I can get one in the morning.
