I know that it has been suggested before (& raised mixed opinions) but now that the vast majority of posts in this sub-forum concern the P38 & later models is there sufficient support for a dedicated RangeRover Classic section?

That sounds reasonable. At least it will keep the rust away from the rest of us. Thing is are there enough classics talked about on here to warrant a seperate section? :D:D:D

I have noticed the drop-off in the number of RRC posts over the last 12 months or so and a corresponding increase in L322 issues.

I still come on here to marvel at the expertise of Wammers, Datatek and the others :praise:

but I tend to go elsewhere for RRC chat now but would love to see more on here.

I would certainly be keen to see a separate forum for RRC's. The groups can be useful, but not much help to newbies who are not aware of them or not members. Who do we speak to to see if we can make this happen?

As a newbie to this area of the forum I do indeed get a little frustrated by all the stuff that is of little relevance to the older RRs and sifting RRC threads from the more modern stuff... I know that there is a filter at the bottom of the page that allows selection by prefix to each type of RR, but this is a litle tedious.... Therefore I would indeed support such a change, but then it would be up to us to support that change by using the forum!!!

its already catered for..just join AND ****IN use the community section..

ie..the classic boys..the 3 door rrc owners club etc...

anyway....my rrc is the only on (actually 2) still on the feckin road i think....so no point in seperate section..lol!!

that way one can leave the p38 brigade to moan about the fact that their rust free motors dont actually work!

he he he..

and..ozawoza..remove your car reg plate..i know where you live now!and park your spare parts motor..(for my next ebay for sale..)

friendly pointer..

Which would seem to confirm that despite the success of the company in introducing new models (they) are still good old LR's underneath, but at least it keeps the forums going ;)
Anyway, it seems that opinions re. a RRC section are still evenly divided - just thought I'd ask, thanks for the replies guys.

Vote for a separate forum from me, if anything I'd vote for a 3-way split as there's pretty much nothing in common between the three of them is there? Something like the engines section....
It's a bit frustrating scrolling through pages and pages to find maybe 2 threads on Classic stuff, and people are less likely to bother looking to reply to threads and give advice...

No. There's three running and in use in our household too!

I vote for a separate RRC Forum - even if there are only 3 Classics still on the road. And I own two of them :)
